Explaining genomics.

W.A.L.T Understand the meaning of genomics and DNA.

we had an expert that came up from Auckland to teach us all about genomics. We learnt about the cells in our body and how each cell has two,one is from your dad and one is from your mum.We learnt what DNA stands for and it stands for Deoxiribo Nucleic Acid.We talked about how we evolved and how we are 99.9% identical from everyone else.

What made me think hard while learning about genomics was when we were learning about  how different we are from each other and what we evolved from.

What do you know about genomics??

  1. Ataahua,
You have nailed a quality blog post! Your introduction was thorough, followed by a DLO and concluded with a reflection. What's more, you even added a question to interact with your audience! Well done!
At school we learnt a little about genomics and genes. We learnt that you get some genes from your mum and some from your dad, but that some genes are dominant and others are recessive.
